"My girls had some problems getting it to work so I went to help them out. The alignment was a little tricky. You just have to get the "hang of it". Once that was out of the way, we had tons of fun. When you put your finger in the printer, make sure you don't see your skin on the camera otherwise you'll print on your skin. I went to work with the designs printed on my nails and a lot of my clients noticed and were impressed. I couldn't wait to go home and play with it some more. This is the coolest toy once you figure it out." - Lori
"I didn't expect the Barbie nail printer to work well when I bought it for my daughter, but it was awesome. It takes some practice but once you get it down it's really cool. I'm only worried about getting ink refills. The company I called said to call back for it in a week. My girl is 9 years old and she already has a friend over to play with it and her 15 yr old cousin will come over to get her nails done also. There are lots of designs to choose from so don't think it's just for little girls because it's a barbie product." - Shannon
"Following a report on TV, my hubby purchased this Barbie Dolled Up Nails Digital Nail Printer for our little girl for Xmas. It really is fun plus my daughter adores it.
Positives:
1. entertaining as well as simple for my six years old daughter to use.
2. Entertains her for quite a while.
3. stopped daughter from nibbling on her fingernails.
My grievances:
1. where are the refills?
2. grumpy machine. Sometimes it will not want to function. Other days it does work fantastically.
3. As the children were running around on Xmas day I used up 1 hour setting it up. Also, not compatible with Mac. Open your eyes mattel...lots of people are switching.
4. The white polish was chunky. Needed to go to the store to find "newer" polish.
5. Alignment must be perfect. Unless you align correctly, ink is going to be messy.
